Death & Agony: Wild Horse Roundup

I just sent a letter to my Representatives and Senators urging them to call on the Interior Department and President Obama to immediately halt the Bureau of Land Management’s summer roundups of wild horses.

Despite the public’s outcry against young foals being run long distances in high temperatures during the height of summer, the Bureau of Land Management blazed forward with a plan to roundup 1,400 federally protected wild mustangs from Nevada’s Tuscarora region in Elko County.Tragically, the roundup has resulted in the death of at least 21 horses and several others being treated for painful colic and brain swelling due to dehydration and exhaustion.

Your decision to ignore the American public’s wishes and your lack of duty to protect our wild horses is an act that shall haunt you for the rest of your life. Not only the general public is outraged, but a huge growing list of actors, celebrities and film makers – we all know that the wild horses and burros are used as a scapegoat, as the constant fabricated and frenzied lies of BLM are an insult to anyone’s intelligence.

Your actions are driven by greed, ignorance and deception. There are no words to express our disgust. Not that this matters to you in the first place. But we all lost faith in our government due to corrupt minds such as yourself, minions within an agency whose agenda is clearing the West of mustangs so alternative energy exploration, illegal land sales (golf courses, resorts… we know the scoop) and livestock interests can be pursued. WE ALL KNOW THAT THE MUSTANGS DO NOT CAUSE THE RANGE DETERIORATION YOU SO CLAIM. The horses have been stripped from their rightful lands by your corrupt outfit, an organized catastrophe of incompetence and failure. Your havoc actions cannot be justified with scientific explanations nor do they demonstrate adequate grounds with any other claims. They are simply a violation of the laws that BLM ignores at any cost to carry out their systematic radical removals. Your management regime is a disgrace to America.

The lies, failure, brainwash and mismanagement of BLM will go down in history. You are part of it. How can you sleep at night ? I pray your actions will catch up with you, in a different place, at a different time.

Shame on this hellish America that is has become. Shame on you – forever. Your name is smeared now with the wipe out of our horses, deceiving your nation and betraying the very ones YOU were assigned to protect, not EXTINCT. Corrupt government is what you stand for. The devastation caused by you shall turn your stomach next time you enjoy a steak of one of the cows stealing our public lands, and the rightful lands of the ones you fail to respect and preserve as our heritage and legacy, the American Mustangs.
