Once again the atrocities are far too BRUTAL TO PUT INTO WORDS. These magnificent stallions, mares and foals continue to be harassed, terrified, injured, brutalized and often killed.

Complaint Filed Against BLM Oregon for Lack of Transparency at Wild Horse Roundup
September 23, 2011
Public Observation of Capture Operation at Barren Valley Blocked as 7 Horses Die To Date
EXCERPT:
“The BLM Oregon’s actions in the Barren Valley roundup are unacceptable and make a mockery of the agency’s promises of transparency in capture operations,” said AWHPC director Suzanne Roy, in a letter to Ed Roberson, Assistant Director of the BLM and Joan Guillfoyle, BLM wild horse and burro division chief. “The lack of public observation is particularly egregious in light of the high number of horses who have died so far in the roundup, including two mustangs who broke their necks at the trapsite. We urge the BLM Washington to act to correct this unacceptable situation without delay.”
BLOGGERS COMMENT: Each and every one of us can make a difference by speaking out on this issue. We can make a difference no matter where we may be currently living , be it in North America, the U.S., Australia or France.
The point is, that if enough people around the Globe, contact the powers that be, contact those persons who continue to enable and condone these brutal round ups, they will then feel the needed pressure to end this.
WHEN T HE EYES OF THE WORLD ARE FOCUSED in OUTRAGE AND DISGUST, when the VOICES CAN NO LONGER BE IGNORED…..
ONLY then may these lives be saved.
PLEASE, SHOUT FROM THE ROOFTOPS…..SAVE THE LIVES OF THESE MAGNIFICENT AND BEAUTIFUL ANIMALS.
YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE!!!
EXCERPT FROM: ANIMAL LEGAL DEFENSE FUND:
‘The “American Horse Slaughter Prevention Act of 2011″ (S. 1176) will end the slaughter of horses for human consumption and the domestic and international transport of live horses or horseflesh for human consumption.’

As Thanksgiving 2011 approaches ….it might be a good idea for Americans and Canadians to do an inventory of their conscience and instead of asking God for blessings, we should be petitioning for peace and justice for all creation!
And, when election time rolls around make a phone call/send an e-mail to those who support crime and violence against animals by telling them they are unworthy of office and that your support will be going to candidates who use their conscience and their labor to serve peace and justice for all creation.
Amen, Sharon.
